found except our own sun, since the distances
of the stars are beyond accurate measurement.
But the distance of the limiting point of solar
or measurable space, or rather the radius of
the limiting horizon (since the distance will
be the same in every direction) is about
twenty-five hundred million times the length
of the earth's polar axis ; so that that axis is
contained in the radius of measurable space
two hundred and fifty times as often as itself
