NOTICE TO SUBSCRIBERS AND TO THE BINDER.
In binding this work in one volume, the Frontispiece (Examples of Finished Shading—Cones, Spheres, &c., Plate LVII.)
and the Engraved Title are to precede the printed Title-page, the text to follow, and the whole remaining Plates are to be
placed together at the end. It may, however, be found more convenient for reference, to bind the Plates and Text separately ;
though in this case the two volumes will be but thin, and the expense of binding somewhat increased.
In a portion of the impression, two of the Plates bear wrong numbers, which Subscribers, into whose hands they may
fall, will please correct. Those impressions of the Plate Projection of Shadows and Cast Shadows {Screws), which bear the
number LIII., should be LY. • and those of the Plate Conventional Tints, numbered LVI., should be LXVI.
In page 95, right-hand column, 20 lines from bottom, for Plate LXIV., read Plate LXVI.
