Alexandre VI et sœur du duc de Valentinois. — Notre gravure
^°Pie assez fidèlement celle d'Haluech; mais à voir cette figure
eufrognée et ces traits vulgaires, on s'imagine difficilement que
soit là ia ftue (je Cosme Ier et l'épouse du duc de Ferrare.
revanche, le costume est d'une grande richesse et d'un beau
caractère.

Lucretia of Etruria is the famous Lucretia Borgia, nièce of
Alexander VI and sister of the Duke of Valentinois. Our engra-
ving is a tolerably faithful copy of Haluech's; but in contem-
plating this scowling face and thèse vulgar features, one can
hardly fancy lier the sister of Cosmo I and the wife of the Duke
of Ferrara. On the other hand, the costume is extremely rich
and of a noble character.
