Notre dessin, & une échelle forcément restreinte, et présenté
en géométral pour faciliter l'interprétation de certaines formes,
ne peut, on s'en doute, donner qu'une faible idée de l'effet pro-
duit par ce milieu de salon. Bien des détails se trouvent perdus

ou seulement indiqués, et la coloration notamment est totale-
ment absente. On ne peut donc se rendre compte exactement
de l'importance du meuble, véritable petit monument, ni de
l'harmonie des matériaux employés a son exécution. Les parties
principales sont d'argent rehaussé de quelques filets d'or. Les
marbres sont rouges et la soie du sopha est vert d'eau. On re-
marque que ce meuble, sorti des ateliers de M. Marchand, à Paris,
comporte un sopha, une jardinière, une fontaine et un luminaire.
