Par sa furme générale et par la nature des ornements qui
couvrent ses flancs, cette gourde semble inspirée de l'art orien-
tal. 11 y a là aussi comme des souvenirs lil rement traduits de
l'Alhambra se prêtant merveilleusement à la décoration d'un
objet de ce genre ot à la matière employée.

The shape as well as the ornaments which decorate thc sides
of tins gourd recall oriental art. The ornamentation shows also
certain reminiscenses of the Alhambra most freely handled and
very cleverly appropriated to the article and to the materia!
