Les deux sujets traités par M. Mazerollo sont empruntés
à la mythologie. Celui-ci représente la dispute de Minerve et
de Neptune pour donner un nom à la ville d'Athènes. Jupiter,
Junon, Mercure et Vénus assistent aux débats.

The two paintings of J. Mazerolle represent mythological
subjecs. The above composition figures the contest between
Pallas and Poséidon for the honour of presiding over the
affairs of the city. — Zeus, liera, Hermès and Aphrodité assist
to the contest.
