The next portion chosen for illustration is one of the small chambers
leading out of the hall. It is the most highly sculptured of the series,
and the procession depicted on the longitudinal stones which supported
the roof is very quaint. The remains of the stone steps and the traces
on the walls seem to indicate that a staircase led from this chamber to
the flat top of the adjacent hall. In other temples we have similar
examples of access to the summit of the building, Edfoo being perhaps
the most perfect.
