da, " The Horus," or " Lord of the Palace," title of a king, or Pharaoh:
pierced, f in. long. Pale green steatite.

1097. Scarabceus, yeper, plain elytra; on the base, in intaglio, ^ hawk,

with whip, standing on pylon, Har da, or Neter da, "The god," or "Horus
of the palace," title, or periphrasis of the Pharaoh, or monarch. -| in. long.
Dull green glazed steatite.

standing on an urseus, and symbol of life, Harernayu any, "The living Har-
machis," title preceding the palatial, or first pharaonic title, called that of the

Hawk of gold," one of the five titles of a king, or Pharaoh, and urasus. The
golden hawk was one of the forms, or types, assumed by the soul of the
