26. PORTRAIT OF THE ARTIST
Before a shaded brown background is the half-length figure of the artist
with curled white hair brushed back from the forehead, wearing a brilliant
crimson jacket with green collar, lapels and cuffs. He is seated at work
before a table, with down-bent head, his palette in his left hand, his miniature
brush in his right.
Height, 18 inches; width, 14^4 inches
