La porcelaine de Chine est composée d'une pâte blanche, fine
et ténue, extraite d'une roche décomposée nommée Kaolin. Sa
«ouverte est formée par une autre roche de même origine et à
.grains cristallins. 11 y a de cette façon identité parfaite entre la
pâte et la couverte qui s'harmoniant complètement, offrent une
résistance égale et une sonorité pour ainsi dire métallique.

Chineso porcelain is composed of a white, fine and tenuou3
paste mado out of a decompound rock called Kaolin. Its glazing
is taken fiom another rock of a likely origin and with cristalline
grains; so that there is a perfect identity between the paste and
glazing which completely harmonise together and possess an
equal powerof résistance and, as it were, a metallic sonorousness.
