Nous ne savons ce qu'est devenue cette riche chasse depuis
la dispersion de la collection Germeau, et nous le regrettons :
car nous eussions aimé à montrer quelques-uns des détails
d'ornementation dont elle est couverte avec une véritable pro-
fusion. — Les figures en haut-relief qui décorent chacun des
compartiments sont d'un beau caractère, et ne le cèdent en rien
aux émaux cliamplevés des colonnes, des semis de quadrilobes,
de la croix et des plaques de la toiture. Le fond est obtenu par
une sorte de guillochage, et le toit de la châsse orné d'im-
brications simulant des ardoises.

We do not know what bas become uf this rich shrine since
the scattering of the Gernuau collection, andwe regret to say so;
for we should bave been deligbted to show some of the de'ails
of ornamentation with which it is profusely covered. — 'I lie
figures in high relief, which decoiate each compartment, bave
a fine character, and are in no way second to the chanlevtt
enamel of the columns, of the spanglings of the four-lobed
ornaments, of the cross and of the plates of the roof. The
ground is obtained through a kind of guillodie and the shrine's
roof is adorned with imbrications sinmlating slates.
