"lieux arrangé, mieux disposé et d'un style plus correct.
Une tete ailée, des faux on sautoir, un sablier et deux figures ;
a|i sommet (Clio et Uranie), avec des ornements variés,
sont les éléments décoratifs de ce bras de lumière d'un goût,
exquis.

We tbink it would be no easy matter to find an object of tbis
kind betterconceived, more judiciously arranged,ormore correct
in style. A winged bead, two scythes in saltire, a bour-glass
and two figures (Clio and Urania); at tbc top vvitb varied ornaments
are tbe décorative cléments of tins sconce, so remarkable for its
exquisite tastefulness.
