Ce vase, exécuté dans de grandes dimensions, mesure
i"',80 de hauteur. Les armes et la devise de la ville de Paris,
sculptées au milieu d ss gracieux rinceaux de la panse, semble-
raient indiquer qu'il est destiné à décorer un de nos squares
ou jardins publics. Il est à désirer, en effet, que nos yeux pari-
siens aient à se reposer de temps à autre sur des bronzes ainsi
compris.

ïliis vase executed on large dimensions measures im,8û in
hoiglit. The arms and motto of the City of Paris sculptured in the
midst of the gracious foliage of its body would lead us to be-
lieve that it is intended for the ornamentation of one of our
public squares.
It is to be desired that such well executed bronzes may here
and there relieve the sight.
