The upper design of this décoration of a pièce of ordnance
dating from the xvi11, century ornaments the trunnion, whilst
the lower one décorâtes the mouth of the pièce itself. Nowadays
our war instruments although vvithout any ornameuts are by
no mcatiî not the less terrible.
