^'exécution de cet objet d'art est remarquable par le fini et
arrnonie des pièces qui le composent. Le cadre proprement
repose par son axe sur deux colonnes do métal alternativo-
Itleni poli et ciselé. Les écornures du cadre sont en émaux
foisonnes, à jour, et do différents tons, formant contraste avec
lor Poli.
^a composition de l'objet est due à M. Julos Début, dont on
nait le bon goût et l'érudition artistique.

As regards exécution, tins article otvirtù is altogether remark-
able for tho finish and harmony of its composing parts. The
frame proper swings by its axis, upon two columns in métal
alternately polished and chiselled. The frame corners are orna-
mented with cloisonné enamels whose various colours contrast
with tho toning of tho polished gold. The design of this char-
ming mirror is tho work of M. Jules Début, whose good tasto
and artistical érudition is well kuown to ail amateurs.
