Les dix tapisseries de haute lisse, représentant l'histoire du
roi David et de Betsabée, ont été exécutées en Flandre sous le
,ègne de Louis XII. Elles sont rehaussées d'or et d'argent,
^"es passent pour avoir été exécutées pour la cour de France
et ont appartenu depuis au duc d'York, au marquis Spinola et à
'a famille Serra, de Gênes. Le fragment ci-dessus appartient
au numéro 6310 du catalogue de Cluny.

The ten high warp tapestries upon which are storied the
history of king David and Bathshebah were executed in Flanders
during the reign of Lewis XII1*1. They are set off vvith gold aud
silver. According to tradition they were made for the king of
Franco and have since belonged to the duke of York, to the
marquis of Spinola and tj the Serra family from Genoa. The
above. spécimen bears the n° 6310 of the Cluny catalogue.
