Le fond du plat est jaune. Les palmettes et entrelacs sont
en rouge brun très passé et noir verdâtre : des traits lumi-
neux, blancs, sont tenus en réserve comme contours des orne-
ments.
La figure 5058 montre une coupe du plat. On peut voir dans
une des salles du musée du Louvre ce joli petit plat d'un goût
pur et d'un décor charmant.

The ground of the dish is yellow. the palmettoes and the
entrelacs are some of an undertoned brownish red and the
others of greenish black ; the ornaments are outlined by bright
blue fillets. Fig. 5058 gives the section of this dish, which is
to be seen in one of the galleries of the Louvre Muséum, where
one may fully appreciate the purity of taste and the charnl
of ornamentation of the article.
