Lion Tawney. Red Lead and Mafticot, fhaded
with Umber.

Murrey. Lake and Flake White.

Orange. Red Lead and'a little fine Mafticot, fhaded
with Gall-ftone and Lake.

Orange Tawney. Cinnabar, light Pink and a
little Mafticot, fhaded with Gall-ftone and Lake.

Purple. Indigo, Spanifh-brown and White; Blue
Bice with Red Lead and Flake White ; or Blue Bice
and Lake.

Russet. Cherry-ftone black and white.

Scarlet, Red Lead and Lake, with or without Ver-
milion ; Carmine and Indian Lake; native Cinnabar
and Red Lead, fhaded with Indian Lake.

Sea-Green. Bice, Pink and White fhaded with
Green Pink.

Sky Colour. Light Mafticot and White, for the
loweft parts; Blue Bice and White for the next de-
gree ; Blue Bice alone for the higheft part. Thefe are
to be all foftened into one another at the edges, fo as
not to appear harfh.

Sky Colour for Drapery. Blue Bice and Venice
Cerufe, or Ultramarine and White, fhaded with Indigo.

Straw Colour. Yellow Mafticot, and a very little
Cinnabar fhaded with dark Pink.

Violet Colour. Indigo, White and Cinnabar
Lake ; or fine Dutch Bice and Lake, (haded with Indi-
go ; or Litmofe, Smalt, and Blue Bice ; the latter moft
predominant.
