Kopujfis 5' £7re/cX7j07)). That is, she was named AfyXa after her father 4>Xtyi<cir,
which is intelligible enough. Compare v. 51. G. Schultz in the Berliner Fhilol.
Wochenschrift, 1887, n. 4, p. 101, proposes to omit 5' ovoiiaaSn] after AfyXa, but
this is not a satisfactory remedy.

1 Tt/fCTo (t)ytv Semitelos, — a certain correction.

- xa'pe 'AaicXuirie and (just below) av^ov were certainly intended, as Wila-
mowitz has pointed out.

3 See p. 59. Wilamowitz i)\dev (4) Kafivuv.

4 tv ya TTOtjTeixoPTi (Wilamowitz) is more probable than tv y o.ttogt€'ixovti.
The moment meant seems to be that of the arrival of the boy (jikBev v. 62) at the
temple.
