0.3. xv. Vellum ; 9x6: ff. 118 : Cent, xiii and xii.
Old binding, repaired at Oxford in 1919.
Two volumes bound together. I Double columns (xiii late)
of 42 lines. II Text of Cent, xii written large : French
translation between the lines : then usually about a page of
comment in French.
Writing, in both, good and clear, with good ornament.
The initial to Beatus vir in II is beautiful and interesting—
green ground—Our Lord above, and below David playing
the harp.
Collation :-l8 (1 and 8 missing) 28—58 6’ || 78 812 98 1010 ll8—
148 158 (7 and 8 cancelled).
Contents :—
(1) A treatise De Festis (of which the beginning is
missing).
Inc. (in the middle of a sentence) . . . homo, sic
et sancti sine difficultate refulgent in corporibus
glorifioatis.
The first rubric is : De festis generalibus et particularibus.
Ends : de festo S. Andrie ap.
non fuit necesse ut ei institueretur vigilia. Idem
de beato Thoma.
A note in red below :
Hee capitula deficuint de fest. xim mil.
virginum, et de S. Felicitate.
(2) Expositio Psalmorum. The first sixteen psalms
(and verse 1 of Ps. 17) given verse by verse, with
a French translation and a French Commentary.
Inc. (com.) Adam nostre primer piere ne fu mie
beatus vir.
Text (interlinear) : Bonereus fu li heom ki naient
nala et conseil.
Ends unfinished on Ps. 16. (17) 1 Exaudi domine
iusticiam : quand nus averuns mesten de alcune
chose ke nus recurruns.
