star of Milton descends to his left foot sending rays up to gloom
where William is inscribed on the sky.

Two female figures looking amased on a figure falling down the
sky. Two floating figures right. On the sky is the title, Milton Book
the Second. Text below,

In the Print Room copy there is a border filled with fairy forms.

376. Page 32. A chart of the Four Zoas as intersecting circles, inscribed
with their respective names ; Urthona in the north, Luvah in the
east, Urizen in the south, Tharmas in the west. Over the intersections
of the circles is drawn the u egg-formed world of Los,” with Adam
inscribed on its upper and Satan on its lower end. Transparent, it
glows with flames within. Flames radiate from the Zoas. A line
from the lower right corner enters the Mundane Egg and stops at the
point marked Adam. Text above.

The Mundane Egg is also called the Mundane Shell.

The Mundane Shell is a vast Concave Earth, an immense
Harden’d shadow of all things upon our Vegetated Earth.

design is steeped in darkness except for a ghostly glimmer from the
star, Above, Robert.
