left arm is broken off at the elbow; of her head, a frag
ment utterly defaced is all that remains. The male figure
behind her is seated on another rock; a mantle is wound
round his lower limbs. The male deity in front of the
female figure has a mantle similarly disposed around his
lower limbs; his head and both arms from above the
elbow are wanting; the right arm must have been
advanced towards the warrior on the left; his left arm
j)robably hung at his side; the feet of all three figures rest
on rocky ground at different levels.

(B. 11.) Torso of a warrior armed with an Argolic
buckler, who moves to the left. The head, now wanting,
probably looked in the opposite direction. His right arm
from the elbow, his left hand, and both thighs from below
the hips are broken away; the right leg has been
advanced in the same direction as the right arm ; the
buckler is attached to his left arm by a strap, ochanon.

that this figure is a captive. He is headless, the right
thigh from the hip, and the left from a little below the
hip are wanting, as are both arms from a little below the
shoulder; a chlamys hangs at his back. Between this group
and the next figure (B. 13) Stuart (III. eh. I. pi. 14,
fig. 6) gives a male figure standing, turned a little to the
right, and wearing a chlamys fastened on the right shoulder
and falling over the left arm and side ; his head, right hand,
and right leg from the thigh to the ankle are wanting.
