The bust, tip of nose, and portions of the hair on each
side of the face restored; indifferent sculpture and had
condition.

close crisp curls; the nose broken. The left side of the
head is wanting, having been made of a separate piece of
marble. The neck is wanting. Coarse Eoman work. In

(163.) Veiled Female Head.—The hair over the fore-
head is surmounted by a kind of crown or Stephanos, which
is tightly encircled by a fillet fastened in a knot over the
centre of the forehead. Nose wanting and features much
defaced. Broken off at the end of the neck.

neck in a long tress. The back of the head, which has
been on a separate piece of marble, is wanting. Style very
late and bad.
