No. 17. Four pallets for mixing medicines, found near
Cologne. Presented by A. W. Franks, Esq.

No. 18. Fragments of woven cloth, from a tomb at Kerich.

No. 19. Two pieces of asbestos cloth.

No. 20. Piece of a large wax torch, found at Vaison,
near Orange, and believed to be Koman.

No. 21. Piece of lead, on which, in raised letters,
XX . IMP . COMMODI . AVG . N.; concave at back. Length,
1 ft. 7 in. by If in. by f in.

No. 22. Medallion in very low relief. Group of the
three Graces; the central figure has her back turned to
the spectator, and looks round to the figure on the left,
who holds in her right hand a fillet; the figure on the
right holds in her left a similar fillet; the whole within
a myrtle wreath. Very late and rude. Diam. l-f-f in.
Bequeathed by Mr. James Woodhouse, 1866.

No. 23. Fragment of medallion in very low relief, on
which is represented part of two compositions. Below is
a male figure about to disembowel a dead stag, which hangs
by the heels from the branch of a tree on the right; on the
left is a candelabrum. Above is part of a scene on rocky
ground ; a mounted warrior armed with a shield is riding
to the left; below his horse is a prostrate figure ; on the left
is an amphora on the ground. The medallion has been en-
circled by an ornamental raised border; the style very late
and rude. Length, 2^- in. Blacas.

No. 24. Medallion looped and ornamented with pro-
jections round the rim, in very low relief; a figure hel-
meted (?), and turned to the left, stands with legs crossed,
holding out in the left hand a helmet; drapery hangs down
from the right hand. Behind the figure is the end of a
spear sloped. Design late and bad; surface much corroded.
Diam. li in. Blacas.

No. 25. Similar medallion. Female head to the front,
surrounded by a floral arabesque composed of the anthemion
and spiral tendrils. Diam. 1^ in. Bequeathed by Mr. James
Woodhouse.

No. 26. Similar medallion. Female head to the right; the
hair looped up behind; over the forehead is a row of curls.
Rev. Female figure stands, looking to the left; the left
arm leaning on a tripod, round which is twined a snake ;
the right hand, advanced downwards, holds out something;
the legs are crossed. Design late and rude. Diam. 1X3U in.
