the exhibition and the author of its two-volume catalogue, wrote her
doctoral dissertation under Lorentz.20
As an expert in Polish Enlightenment architecure, Lorentz’s influence through
his doctoral seminar during the 1960s and 70s should be not be overlooked.
He was a patient, much-loved teacher to all those he accepted to his seminar.
In spite of his numerous professional responsibilities and commitments, he
always found time for his seminar meetings, which ąuickly became an important
centre for research on the art of the Polish Enlightenment. They were held
with astonishing freąuency and regularity, once a week on Thursday,
