example weaving-mills, providing ordy the estate and the adjoining garrison.
Only some of those manufactures, like the glassworks in Naliboki and Urzecze,
the polisher’s shops of semiprecious Stones, the faience manufactures in Biała
and S wierzeń and the sash manufactures in Nieśwież and Słuck, deserve a name
of specialised industrial works, due to the scope of production and external
demand for luxurious goods.

Both number and variety of the manufactures established in the first half
of the eighteenth century by the Radziwiłłs, Anna, Michał Kazimierz and
Hieronim Florian, are proofs of versatile interests and passions of their
