able ; on that side of our platform which i3
exposed to the wind, it was with difficulty

I exposed a little pomatum which was
melted down, as if I had laid it before
the fire. I attempted to take a walk in the
slreet, to see if any creature was stirring,
but I found it too much for me, and was
glad to get up flairs again.
