false grenades, which produced every effecl;
of real ones, except that of doing mischief.
The throwing of these was the part of the
entertainment that seemed to please the
moll; and the grenadiers took care to di-
rect them so, that their efsect should not
be lost. When a number of them fell to-
gether amongst a thick crowd of the mo-
bility, which was commonly the case, it
afsorded an entertaining scene enough, for
they defended themselves with their hats,
and threw them very dexterouslyupon their
neighbours. However, we saw no da-
