8- Vignettes : (a) A seated male figure, with the emblem of “ millions of years ” in his right hand and on his
head ; his left hand extended above the Eye of Horus. (b) A male figure standing with arms outstretched
above the lakes of “ Maaat ” and “ Hesmen ” (natron). (c) A pylon, or gate with folding doors : “ The Door
of the Funeral Passages.” (d) 'I he Eye of Horus upon a pedestal. (e) The great cow “ Meh-urit, the Eye of
Ra.” (/) A funereal chest, surrounded by the four children of Horus, with Ra rising from it holding the Sign
of Life in each hand.
