The goddess Nit J], i.e., the "Shooter" or

"Weaver," was identified both with Mut and Hathor ;
the chief seat of her worship was at Sais.

195. Blue glazed faience figure of the goddess
Nephthys. Height, 2|in.

The goddess Nebt-het TT ~ J], the Nephthys of
the Greeks, was the daughter of Seb and Nut, and
the wife of Set. In funeral scenes she stands at the
head of the bier of her brother Osiris, by whom,
according to one legend she became the mother of
Anubis.
