Goerz Catalogue-cover Competition

WE WANT a new Catalogue.
We want a Photographic Cover for it that
will render it valuable to every one interested
in artistic photography, not only for its contents, but
also as to its appearance. But we want the very
best only, and in order to obtain this, we have
decided to make that Cover the Subject of a Photo-
graphic Competition, open to all, Amateurs or
Professionals.
Three Hundred Dollars Cash Prizes will be given
to the best pictures submitted.
The inducement of three hundred dollars in Cash
Prizes ought to secure the participation of good
workers in this competition, while the smaller prizes
may prove attractive to those that have some diffi-
dence as to their ability to compete for the First
Prize. There is money in it for many, and some
glory for all.
We trust that this announcement will meet with
a cordial response from many quarters, and wish
good luck to all those who will endeavor to win the
prize and contribute to make this competition a
creditable success to themselves and to the cause of
artistic photography.
