207. Statuette of calcareous stone. Height, 16* inches. From the temple (Golgoi).
Female figure, holding a tympanum, or tambourine, in the left hand in front of the
body, and playing on it with the right hand; wears a chiton reaching to the feet, with low
head-dress falling behind the ears; the feet close together; the head, found broken off, was
replaced.

Female figure, playing on the tympanum, or tambourine, like the preceding, with hair
drawn back from the forehead in ridges; wearing a necklace of beads, with pendant.
209. Statuette of calcareous stone. Height, 141 inches; found in the ruins of
Amathus.
Male figure, dressed in a long chiton with short sleeves, holding two serpents against
his cheeks; the serpent held in the left hand is injured. Three other serpents hang over
the head-dress, with their heads in front. Traces of red color on the chiton. Feet
broken off.
210. Statuette of calcareous, stone. Height, i6f inches. From the temple (Golgoi).
Female figure, with legs broken off from above the knees downward; the left leg
advanced; the right arm folded across the body; the left arm hanging by the side. The
arms are freed from the body. The figure wears a short-sleeved upper garment, broad belt,
kilt, spiral armlets, and ear-rings; low head-dress, falling behind the ears; the left hand and
tip of the nose are wanting. The head was found broken off, and has been replaced.

Figure with long robe; the feet close together; the right arm folded on the breast;
the left hanging by the side, and holding a round object. The eyes differently shaped from
the preceding figures and better defined. The nose and part of the lips are broken off.
Low head-dress, falling behind the ears. Broken across the middle, and rejoined.
