281. Calcareous stone. Height, 5 feet 5| inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Bearded figure, standing on a small base of the same stone as the statue, with
conical cap, chiton reaching to the feet, and himation, within which the right arm is
doubled. The himation has a thick edging. The legs are close together; the left arm
hangs by the side. The beard is marked by a series of parallel lines, which terminate
in front in formal curls. The hair, projecting below the head-dress on the forehead,
is marked by a ridge, with finely cut vertical lines. The front of the left hand and the
tip of the nose are wanting. Surface mutilated and abraded. The front part of the feet
and base, found broken off, have been rejoined.
