Plate XLV

282. Calcareous stone. Height, 2 feet 37 inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Figure with conical cap; hair falling behind the ears; spiral ear-rings; long robe
reaching to the feet, which rest on a base of the same stone. The left arm, with short
sleeve, hangs down at the side; the right arm is folded over the breast and doubled
within the robe. The nose and front of the left hand are mutilated. The surface is
much hacked and scarred. The figure when discovered was entire; but, by rough
handling in unpacking, it was broken a few inches above the feet, and rejoined.
