393. Calcareous stone. Height, 6 inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Head and bust of a bearded figure, with helmet and cheek-pieces hanging loose,
with shield on the back. This figure probably belonged to a warrior in a chariot, as the
lower part appears to have been unfinished.

394. Calcareous stone. Height, 7j inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Seated female figure, in a high-backed chair, holding an infant on the left arm;
a long robe reaching to the feet, and a himation hanging from the back of the head,
like a veil, and falling on the arms. Ear-rings and necklace are faintly indicated.
Remains of red color on the upper garment.

395. Calcareous stone. Height, 5^ inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Seated female figure, with a child in her arms, like the preceding. Surface much

worn.

396. Calcareous stone. Height, 9 inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Seated female figure, holding a child, like the preceding. Remains of red color on
the dress. Same type as Nos. 395 and 396.

397. Calcareous stone. Height, 11} inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Seated female figure of the same type as the three preceding. The child's head-
dress, which is found in all figures of this class, is best observed in this statuette. It
consists of a high conical cap, with side flaps reaching to the neck. Traces of red color
on the dress.

398. Calcareous stone. Height, 71 inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Seated figure, supporting a child, similar to the types above described. Traces of
red color on the dress.

399. Calcareous stone. Height, 45 inches. From the temple (Golgoi).

Figure similar to the preceding Nos. 394 and 395, broken off below the knees.

400. Calcareous stone. Height, 5j inches. From the temple (Golgoi). Figure similar
to the preceding Nos. 394, 395; much abraded.
