455. Statue, of calcareous stone. Height, 3 feet iij inches. Found in the temple
(Golgoi).
Headless figure of a man, with the right forearm and feet wanting. The left leg
is slightly advanced. The crinkled material of the chiton is indicated by parallel folds hol-
lowed along the surface, and separated by grooved lines. Round the neck, on the edge
of the right sleeve, down the extent of the right arm, is a flat band. The himation is
thrown over the left shoulder and arm, and also under the right arm; the folds across the
body are rendered by slight ridges. The left arm is raised a little. There is a prop, which
supported the right forearm on the right hip. The surface is well preserved.
