I. FoR the due preservation of the peace,, and for the guidance of the
magistrates in the provinces ceded by the Nawaub Vizier to the Honour-
able the English East-India Company, in apprehending persons charged
with crimes or offences, and bringing them to trial, the folio wing rules
have been enacted.
