or if the trial held upon the prisoner be on any account referrible to the
Nizamut Adawlut, in the letter accompanying such trial; and it shall be
competent to the Nizamut Adawlut to order a further trial of the remain-
ing charge or charges against the prisoner, in all cases wherein that court
may judge it proper so to direct.

I. WHEREAS it is essential that the revenue authorities should possess
powers for the recovery of arrears due from persons manufacturing or
selling spirituous liquors, taury, putchwye, and intoxicating drugs, without
having recourse to the Courts of Judicature, the following rule has been
passed, to be in force from the period of its promulgation throughout the
provinces immediately dependent on the presidency of Fort William.
II. In addition to the rules contained in Regulation X. 1813, it is
hereby provided, that whenever an arrear may fall due from any person
manufacturing or selling spirituous liquors, taury, putchwye, or intoxi-
cating drugs, including opium, it shall be competent to the collector
to enforce payment of such arrear from the defaulter or his surety, by
the process which is or may be in force tor the recovery of arrears of
revenue due from farmers of land and their sureties, in the provinces
subject to the superintendence of the Board of Revenue and Board of
Gozzzzzzz^zozzd^ respectively.
