FoR the greater protection of magistrates and others acting judicially,
it is enacted as follows :
No judge, magistrate, justice of the peace, collector, or other person
acting judicially, shall be liable to be sued in any civil court, for any act
done or ordered to be done by him in the discharge of his judicial duty,
whether or not within the limits of his jurisdiction; provided that he at
the time in good faith believed himself to have jurisdiction to do or order
the act complained of: and no officer of any court, or other person bound
to execute the lawful warrants or orders of any such judge, magistrate,
justice of the peace, collector, or other person acting judicially, shall be
liable to be sued in any civil court for the execution of any warrant or
order which he would be bound to execute if within the jurisdiction of the
person issuing the same.

FoR better enabling children, and especially orphans and poor children
brought up by public charity, to learn trades, crafts, and employments, by
which, when they come to full age, they may gain a livelihood, it is
enacted as follows :
I. Any child above the age of ten, and under the age of eighteen years,
may be bound apprentice by his or her father or guardian to learn any fit
trade, craft, or employment, for such term as is set forth in the contract of
apprenticeship, not exceeding seven years, so that it be not prolonged
beyond the time when such child shall be of the full age of twenty-one
years, or in the case of a female, beyond the time of her marriage.
II. The age set forth in the contracts shall be evidence of the age of
the child in all questions which arise as to the right of the master to the
continuance of the service.
