A tablet to Sir John Kempe, Baronet, who died at the age of seventeen, Jan.
16, 1771, was erected by two of his young friends, who loved and lament him.
Another interesting monument, to an amiable youth, the son of Albany Wallis,
Esquire, of Norfolk-street, London, is thus inscribed :—" Infra sepultus erat, veras
*■* inter condiscipulorum lacrymas, Albanius Carolus Wallis, amantissimi patrisunica
" spes; qui vetitis Thamesis fluvii illecebris heu nimium captus, indomita ejusdem
" vi abreptus, periit 29 die Martii, A. D. 1776, setatis 13. Siste, juvenis, hujus-
" que finem contemplare."

'To Jane Lister, 1688, a tablet with this inscription: —" M. S. Christopheri
" Steigher, nobilis Bernensis, e Collegio Universitatis apud Oxonienses sup. ord.
" commensalis, eximige spei juvenis, et ob ingenii elegantiam morumque suavi-
" tatem plane suam Britannis seque ac suis percari. Pater e concilio supremo
" reip. Bernensis, comitatus Thunensis prrefectus, qui ad filium dilectissimum
" natuque maximum morbo diutino languentum ab Helvetiis usque Londinum
" anxius properaverat, perfunctus ma;stissimo paterni amoris officio, hoc tandem
" monumento perpetuse memoriae commendat egregii adoloscentis merita suosque
" luctus. Obiit ille die 23 Dec. A. D. 1772, setatis autem 20."

aged forty-live, with an infant; Rachael Taylor, relict of the Rev. Edward
Taylor, Rector of Finningley, in the county of Nottingham, 1740, aged sixty-five;
