In the Museum Worsleyanum is engraved a fragment3 very similar
to the one before us; it was found near Eleusis, and is described
in that work as part of a procession connected with the cele-
bration of the sacred mysteries at that place, but, on comparing
it with other monuments more entire, we are rather inclined
to consider it a sacrifice, and probably part of a funereal monu-
ment.4
