The head only is antique; the neck, shoulders, and a portion
of the upper part of the cap are modern. It may possibly have
been part of a statue, but, if so, was probably intended to have
been placed in some niche, where little more than the front could
have been seen, as the back part both of the hair and cap are left
in a rude and unfinished condition.
