• At Ujjaini, Khullona has a sou whom she uamed
Sripati or Srimanta. In* course of time the mfaHv. grows
up to'a boy, aud with other boys, goes to the village
Patshala.' One day, the guru gets enraged with Srimanta
and taunts him in very vulgar terms in reference to the
'"absence of 'nis father. The boy returns home, and,
though of tender years, resolves on going in auest of his
father. All persuasion is in vain, the boy Jhas the de-
termination of a man, and has made up his mind. In
very, pathetic terms he takes leave of his mother and
says:—
