Of these the Elgin collection contains but two
articles. The first is an Egyptian scarabaeus, in
granite, of enormous size, brought from Constanti-
nople : the second is the upper part of the head of an
Egyptian figure in granite; the head is that of a lion,
and is remarkable for being ornamented with a crown
