Clay dull warm buff, containing many particles of mica. In the form of a
deer couchant, the neck serving as mouth of the vase. The upper part of body
stippled with fine dots of dark brown glaze, the angle of bent legs, the hoofs,
and the tail dark brown.

Clay light red (pink) containing fine particles of black and white stone. In
the form of an owl, hole in top of head, in which is inserted a separate alabas-
tron mouth with flat lip. Decoration in black glaze with added red; feathers
of wings and legs in thin glaze; head reserved except for black lines marking
the eyes, the pupils outlined with an incised line, and eyebrows prolonged into
large spirals above; beak dull red; a row of incised loops on top of alabastron
lip.
