FROM THE CHAIRS OF THE POLISH SECTION
For the first time in its 74-year history, the 36th Con-
gress of German Art Historians (XXXVI Kunsthistorik-
ertag), organised by the German Association of Art His-
torians (Verband Deutscher Kunsthistoriker) and held in
Stuttgart on 23-27 March 2022, included a guest section,
and it was Polish art historians who were invited to host
it. The main subject of the Congress was: QUESTIONS
OF FORM I FORM FRAGEN. Papers read in the Polish
section addressed the conferences main topic, presenting
the discipline of art history as it is currently pursued by
Polish scholars - responding to global questions and areas
of research, and at the same time dealing with individu-
al problems within the framework of Polish art-historical
discourse.
