SECOND APPEAL

37 : Moses said to the children of Israel, "The Lord thy
God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of
thee, of thy brethren, like unto me: unto him ye shall
hearken." The words which the Lord addressed to
Moses were exactly of the same import: "I will raise

wilt." Ver. ^ : "He went away again the second time,
and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not
pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.',
Luke, ch. xxii. ver. 3*2 : "But I have prayed for thee, that
thy faith fail not, &c." John, ch. xii. ver. 27 : "Father,
sa^e me from this hour." Whosoever honours God
cannot, I presume, consistently refuse to honour his
