Bom in Cracow in 1877 — Died in Cracow in 1943
He was a member of the Association of Polish Artists (ZPAP), exhibiting his works since 1926.
A complete exhibition of his works entitled “The Panorama of the Orient (Turkey and Egypt)”
took place in the Cracow House of Artists in 1929.
He painted genre scenes, frequently on exotic subjects, as well as religious scenes.

Bom at Ruga near Oswiqcim in 1893 — Died at Melk, Austria, in 1945
He was a student of Teodor Axentowicz and Stanislaw Kamocki at the Cracow Acdemy of Fine
Arts in the period 1920-1925; afterwards he made artistic travels to Italy and France. In the years
1937-1939 he lived in Katowice. Arrested in 1944, he was taken away to the Auschwitz
concentration camp and via Mauthausen to Melk, where he became murdered.
He was a successful portraitist; he painted also still lifes and landscapes.

The portrait was painted for the gallery of
portraits representing Mayors of the City od
Cracow exhibited in the Municipal Hall.
WladyslawZygmunt Belina-Prazmowski (1888-1938)
was a creator and commander of the Polish Legion’s
cavalry, colonel in the Polish Army and mayor of the
City of Cracow in the years 1931-1933. In 1933 he
was appointed to the post of voivod of Lvow. He also
performed functions of the honorary chairman and
commander of the 1st regiment of uhlans.
