Bom on the Farm “Masandra” in the Crimea in 1895 — Died in Trenton, New Jersey, USA, in 1957
In the years 1923 -1926 he studied in the Warsaw School of Fine Arts and in the years 1933-1934
at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, in Tadeusz Pruszkowski’s atelier. He was a co - founder of
St. Luke’s Brotherhood.
He practised easel painting and since 1934 wall-painting and ceramics.

Bom in Cracow in 1878 — Died in Cracow in 1954
Having graduated from the Law Department at the Jagiellonian University, he studied at the
Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow: in the years 1905-1910 under Konstanty Laszczka, in
1918-1920 under Wojcieeh Weiss, and in 1924-1925 in the Parisian Branch of the Cracow
Academy of Fine Arts under Jozef Pankiewicz. In 1914 he was Edward Gerisch’s student at the
Vienna Academy. He was connected with the Association of Artists “Zwomik” (‘Keystone”) and
with the Artists’ Guild “Jednorog” (“Unicom”).
A lawyer, man of letters, art critic and musician, he practised sculpting, stage - designing and
painting.
