'Ehe proof mentioned by Schwarz in his catalogue, from the
King Frederick-August II. of Saxony coli. Schwarz’s State-
ment, that this proof is clipped, is erroneous, not only the
plate-mark of this impression being complete, but there is
also a narrow margin on all sides. Only 15 proofs known,
13 of which are now in museum colls.

Sehr schöner Abdruck dieser reizenden Landschaft, leider oben
im Himmel stark verschnitten, was die Bildwirkung jedoch
nicht beeinträchtigt. Schwarz kennt nur 17 Exemplare, und
es dürften kaum noch welche im Handel vorkommen. Sehr
selten. — Very fme impression of this charming landscape-
etcbing. Unfortunately the sky is severely clipped, which,
however, does not deteriorate the beauty of the composition.
Only seventeen proofs known to Schwarz. This proof, there-
fore, may be the last to come into the market.
